Carmel Academy, situated in Cherthala, is a distinguished educational institute established in 2023. Operated by the Carmelite Fathers (O.Carm), it forms part of the worldwide Carmelite family of institutions. As a dedicated apostolate of the Carmelite Order, Carmel Academy emphasizes youth and educational development, focusing on fostering linguistic and professional skills.

Since its beginning with 41 students, the Academy has steadily grown, and now conducts daily classes across five campuses and online, serving hundreds of learners preparing for studies and careers in Germany.

Carmel Academy specializes in German language training at four proficiency levels: A1, A2, B1, and B2. In addition, we offer:

• Exam Preparation Batches – Focused modules for Goethe, TELC, and ÖSD exams.
• German Reset Course – A 30-day crash revision program covering A1–B2 for those who studied earlier but need exam readiness.
• Online Courses – Live 90-minute classes, Monday–Friday, with free study materials worth ₹6,500.
   

Our German language program (A1–B2) spans 183 teaching days, distributed as follows:

• A1 Level: 40 days
• A2 Level: 35 days
• B1 Level: 54 days
• B2 Level: 54 days
   

Each level covers the four core skills of language learning:

• Sprechen (Speaking)
• Schreiben (Writing)
• Lesen (Reading)
• Hören (Listening)
   

Daily syllabi are meticulously prepared and displayed on classroom notice boards to ensure structured and transparent learning.

We use official and widely accepted textbooks:

• Netzwerk Neu A1
• Netzwerk Neu A2
• Netzwerk B1
• Aspekte Neu B2
   

Complimentary study materials, model tests, and exam preparation guides are also provided.

• In-house tests are conducted at the end of each level.
• A minimum of 60% marks is required for exam readiness.
• Carmel Academy does not host official exams, but prepares students for internationally recognized tests (Goethe, TELC, ÖSD).
• Dedicated exam preparation batches (Goethe & TELC) are available with intensive mock training.

Carmel Academy offers the Brother Sebastian Kurishuparambil Memorial Scholarship, which has already disbursed support worth several lakhs. This scholarship assists deserving and needy students in pursuing their German studies.
